Valour FC 2019 Schedule Released

Save the date: May 4, 2019. That’s the day Valour FC will play their inaugural home game against FC Edmonton, according to the schedule release from the Canadian Premier League (CPL) The CPL finally released its schedule to the public this week. Valour FC will play 14 home and 14 away games in its first season, with all home games at Investors Group Field (IGF).  The first ever game for Valour FC is May 1st when they head to Victoria to play Pacific FC. What is unique about the schedule format is its split into two seasons, a spring season and fall season. Annual General Meeting

We’re holding our first ever Annual General Meeting at 7:00pm on Thursday February 7th at the King’s Head pub. We’re going to discuss our plan for the inaugural season and elect a board of directors to run the group. If you’d like to get involved on the board you can send your name and the position for which you’re applying to volunteer@redriverrising.ca. The deadline for applications is 11:59pm Sunday February 3, 2019. And if you don’t want to be on the board but still want to pitch in we’ll have opportunities for volunteers to join the committees we’re creating. We’ll focus on things like game day operations, community outreach, merchandise, and communications. We’ll share more details at the meeting. Christmas Wish List

As they say, tis the season as the holidays are in the air. With just over four months until Valour FC’s first season in the Canadian Premier League (CPL), we are waiting like kids at the Christmas tree for the first kick off. With recent player signings and the U-Sports draft in the books, the picture is starting to become more apparent with what our team will look like. As the stockings are being hung by the chimney with care, here are some things we wish for in the inaugural Valour FC season. Signing an overseas well known International With the CPL now in play, the potential is there for top Canadian internationals to potentially come home. As Summer Turns to Fall

As the summer slowly fades away, and the leaves turn color as autumn creeps in, one can reflect upon this past summer, as we get closer towards the 2019 inaugural Canadian Premier League season. It began with the official announcement of Winnipeg’s CPL club, Valour FC.  The club’s crest and colors were unveiled on Investors Group Field, the pitch where the team will eventually play. Later in June, Valour FC announced Rob Gale would be the first Head Coach and general manager. The mouth was watering for a local Winnipeg soccer fan, as the road began to next spring. At a Meet the Coach’s night for founding season ticket members at Nicolinos, Rob laid out that his vision for the club was to represent Valour FC’s identity of values: Honour, courage, in the midst of the battle on the pitch.
